Features of splitting of hybrids at crossing of the different on productivity and quality tea forms of Colchis sort

The results of crossing of the different on productivity and quality forms of tea of Colchis sort are analysed in the work. It is established that at crossing of high-yielding forms of Colchis sort in F2 only 0,9 % of the received forms have appeared more fruitful, than parents, at 22,0 % seedlings productivity was up to standard of parental forms, and 77,1% were less fruitful, than parental forms. Almost same regularities are observed at crossing combinations on quality of finished products. Thus, splitting does not submit to the general regularities, and receiving of more fruitful and qualitative forms, than parents, at hybridization is improbable. Therefore it is necessary for receiving of more high-yielding forms to give decisive importance to recombinants and mutants. At different combinations of crossing recombinants with higher productivity than a Colchis sort have been allocated and studied, and the finished products are estimated at the level of the best Georgian sorts. Among them the special attention is deserved by the form ¹2575 and ¹594 which have successfully passed a sorttest.
