Given article – the second of three articles united by the same theme: ecological problems of Adzharia and their negative influence on agriculture.
On materials of long-term researches of wood nature, and scientific and literary references also the unique and irreplaceable nature conservation, protective role of woods of Adzharia is demonstrated. On the basis of concrete data and quantity indicators soil-protective, water regulating, erosion-preventive, antiavalanche, climate-regulating functions of mountain forests (woods of Adzharia are exactly such ones) are analyzed. Offers on their preservation and maintenance in state of high resistance and productivity are given.
