Ecological problems –brake for development of
agriculture of Adzharia |

Given article – the last of three articles united by the same theme: ecological problems of Adzharia and their negative influence on agriculture.
Until the middle of the last century the territory of Adzharia for some reasons had been strongly boggy. Since then the big areas of bogs have been drained and occupied under subtropical and industrial crops. In the near future mass drainage of the remained boggy territories which then will be used under the most valuable subtropical and other crops is planned.
At the same time going and planned reclamation work should be coordinated with requirements of ecological safety. In fact it doesn’t always take place.
Reorganization of melioration policy in autonomous republic has become an essential problem. Perfection of system of mutual relations with other services of agrarian reproduction, with organs of nature protection for the purpose of creation of continuous harmonious system of actions – from reclamation projects to yield reception on reclaimed lands without damage to environment, and this is our main task.
