Biochemical and biotechnological aspects of phytopathogenic streptomycetes of potato

Purpose of the present work was in revealing of structure features of anionic carbohydrate polymers of cell walls of pathogenic streptomycetes, causing disease of potato tubers by favus. It has been established that cell walls of the studied phytopathogenic streptomycetes contain anionic polymer under reduced name Kdn. It has been proved that Kdn, first found out in a prokaryotic cell, is one of pathogenicity factors. The received results can form a basis for the future researches of the general process of agricultural plants pathogenesis, will allow to develop ways of prevention of adhesion, having solved thus problem of elimination of pathogenicity factors by means of biotechnological methods.
