Influence of growth regulators on the formation of flower buds orchids (Dendrobium aphyllum (roxb.) fisch) in vitro

This study evaluated effect of plant growth regulators (BAP, TDZ and PBZ) on growth and in vitro flowering of orchids (Dendrobium aphyllum (Roxb.) Fisch). The results showed that the combined use of PBZ with BAP or TDZ in the culture medium has a significant influence on the formation of flower buds only of shoots clusters. In the case of single shoots cultivation their ability to flowering morphogenesis was not marked. The combination of BAP and PBZ successfully induced in vitro flowering shoots clusters Dendrobium aphyllum (Roxb.) Fisch 22,68% on MS + 0.1 mg / l PBZ + 1 mg / l BAP after 10 weeks. The combination of TDZ and PBZ successfully induced in vitro flowering shoots clusters Dendrobium aphyllum (Roxb.) Fisch 100% on MS + 1 mg / l TDZ + 0.5 mg / l PBZ after 10 weeks.
