Calculation of normative yield of grain crops based on IS SGDB
The application for calculating of the normative yield of grain crops was created as subsystem of Information System “Soil-Geographic Data Base of the Russian Federation" – IS SGDB (http://gis.soil.msu.ru/soil_db/assessment/). The subsystem is an online resource (mobile version is also implemented). The calculations are based on actual data of agrochemical observations, legacy soil surveys data, stored in regional soil data centers, and other essential information. The territory of possible calculations is Rostov region. Elaboration of principles of using SGDB for solving practical tasks of maintaining the registry of soil resources, soil-environmental monitoring, cadastral land assessment, optimal environmental management at the regional and national levels is currently the most important direction of further development of IS SGDB. The implementation of this is possible by expanding the functionality of the system for theoretical and practical applications working in the established and functioning distributed network of soil data centers. This algorithm is a realized example of automated extraction of knowledge from accumulated and structured data (Data Mining).
