Spatial heterogeneity of humus formation

The paper considers the spatial inhomogeneity of humus formation in the Non-chernozem zone by the example of Perm Krai for natural-agricultural areas. The reports of the State Center "Permsky", regional literature, the authors' data on the humus content, its group composition, and the qualitative composition of the soil organic matter were used. One thousand nine hundred and fifty-two data on humus content in soils were processed and databases were compiled. Statistical analysis of data on the humus state of soils and agroclimatic parameters was carried out. It is established that within each region the conditions of humus formation are different, which is related both to the influence of natural factors of soil formation, and to the degree of development of the territory and the level of agricultural use of soils. Appropriate predictive models for the content of easily oxidized material are obtained depending on the following agroclimatic parameters: the sum of effective temperatures > 10 ° C; sum of precipitation for the vegetation period; bioclimatic potential. The limits of the content of easily oxidized material in soils with different biological productivity for the Perm Territory are determined. This allows you to plan the types of land use, selection of crops, agrotechnology, specialization of the economy.
