Justification of the parameters and operating conditions of a heavy stubble spring harrow

Today, the least expensive minimum and no-till farming systems are replacing the traditional method of tillage. The most effective in new technologies are special stubble spring harrows. Modern industry produces a number of such harrows, but these harrows were not as effective as their producers assured. So the «KAMA-15» harrow has too much traction resistance and is capable of efficiently being aggregated only by tractors of traction class not lower than 5 which does not allow to use it in subsidiary and farm economies. To determine the optimal modes of harrow operation with other tractors, a number of experiments were carried out. The result of the experiments was the dependence of the pulling resistance of the harrow from the traction class of the tractor and the speed of the machine-tractor unit.
