Cultivation of cabbage lettuce with the application of different methods of covering
The article presents the results of a research on cultivation of cabbage lettuce with seedlings method in the conditions of the Astrakhan region. To protect plants against periodically repeat recurrent frosts and ensure receipt of early harvest, the use of different methods of covering of cabbage lettuce plantings was studied. The obtained results showed the possibility of getting a high and quality yield of lettuce of the Miret RZ variety (a species of Iceberg lettuce). The maximum early yield of cabbage lettuce can be obtained by applying shelter agrospan 42 + mulching. The use of different methods of covering of cabbage lettuce plantings had no negative impact on the biochemical composition of cabbage-heads.
