Study of perspective varieties and selection lines of potato in various soil and climatic conditions of the Astrakhan region
The article presents the results of the conducted agroecological evaluation of perspective varieties and selection lines of potato in the conditions of the Astrakhan region. It were distinguished the productive varieties, yielding capacity of which in average was from 50 to 70 t/ha. According to a mix of the agronomic characters and the quality of seed material, it is recommended to production enterprises of the region for spring planting time to use: Red Scarlett, Impala; Axeniya, Meteor, Pomano, Kolette, Udacha. The distinguished selection lines 2747-11 and 1539-32 have high productivity, marketability, consumer appeals and are of interest for further scientific efforts.
