An effect of seeding rate on formation of the quality of lawns of domestic selection grasses in the first year of their lifetime

Seedings in pure form and the ones in a mix of red fescue grass of Stella variety and of meadow fescue one of Nadyezhda and Lyudmila varieties are studied in the research. During the first year of the studied lawns lifetime an amount of plants developed up to 6590 plants per square metre. As a whole the lawns corresponded to the low-grade quality in this experiment. Decreasing and increasing of seeding rate of recommended in pure seedings of red fescue and meadow one in the first year of lifetime developed a less-grade grass stand – of a satisfactory quality. The mixes with red fescue grass increase grass stand quality even in the first year of the lifetime. Lawn coverings under research are recommended for growing for decorative purpose in park-and-garden ensembles of general purpose.
