Influence of parameters of the technological cycle for growing cucumber in the winter-spring turnover of the 5th light zone

The article deals with the results of studies on the influence of the conditions of the technological cycle of cucumber cultivation in the winter-spring turnover. It was found that in the winter-spring turnover in the winter greenhouses of the 5th light zone in the Rostov region the crop level is influenced by weather conditions, the composition of hybrids grown and the start of turnover. Thus, in 2017, 0.7-0.89 kg/m2 more cucumber fruits were obtained with the addition of 2 new hybrids, the exclusion of 1 old hybrid and the beginning of turnover for 2 weeks earlier than the previous two years. At the same time, almost 1 kg/m2 was obtained a month earlier, that is, in January, which makes it possible to increase the profitability of production. The resulting winter-spring turnover of products is characterized by high quality - it does not accumulate nitrates above MPC at all stages of fruiting. The questions of application of entomophages against the main pests of cucumber: greenhouse whiteflies, aphids and spider mites are considered. It was found that the release of entomophages in the ratio of 1 entomophagus to 5-7 pests in the period of mass distribution provided the effectiveness of pest control at 80.0-87.1% and allowed the economy to significantly reduce the insecticide load and increase the profitability of production by 13.1%. Results of researches are recommended for use by farms of the Priazovsky zone of the Rostov region at cultivation of cucumber in the conditions of winter-weighed turnover.
