Clinical trials of the drug Enroflox 5% with bursitis in cattle

The aim of the work is to investigate the therapeutic effect during the classical treatment of aseptic and purulent bursitis of the occipital joint in cattle. The object of the study is a group of animals with clinical signs of aseptic and purulent bursitis. Samples for the study were selected from three groups of animals with bright clinical signs of purulent and aseptic bursitis. These samples were subjected to cytological analysis, the results of which the first group of samples corresponded to purulent bursitis, the second – catarrhal, the third – serous-fibrinous. Subsequently, the obtained pathological material was investigated using bacteriological methods, the results of which identified the bacteria of the genus Staphylococcus. Bacteria Staphylococcus chromogenes were isolated from the first group of samples, Staphylococcus lentus – from the second group, Micrococcus spp – from the third group. The detected types of staphylococci are opportunistic, but under certain conditions can cause inflammation in Bursa in the studied animals. The isolated microorganisms were studied for sensitivity to antibiotics by the disc diffusion method and showed sensitivity to the following antibiotics: Cefazolin, kanamycin, ciprofloxacin, cefalexin, gentamicin, erythromycin, Vancouver. Two groups of sick animals with purulent and aseptic bursitis were allocated to study the action of the preparation "Enroflox 5%". High therapeutic effect of the drug "Enroflox 5%" had when applied subcutaneously at a dose of 1 ml (equivalent to 50 mg of enrofloxacin) / 10 kg of body weight once a day for 5 days in animals with visible clinical signs of aseptic bursitis.
