Yield and forage quality of annual crops mixtures in the conditions of Kostroma region

The livestock industry in the modern world tends to develop. In this regard, the livestock sector is constantly in need of a quality enhancement and increase of fodder. Multicomponent agrophytocenoses are able to help in solving this problem. For these purposes, often used two-component mixtures on the basis of oat, vetch and pisum arvense . Multicomponent mixtures of annual herbs with oil radish as a third component are not studied enough and are rarely used. The aim of the research is to assess the efficiency of agrophytocenosis and the quality of feed of two – and three - component mixtures of annual fodder crops for green feed and silage. The article presents the results of research in four years, the dynamics of the growth of green mass and dry matter accumulation in the cultivation of annual grass mixtures on green feed and silage, the results of the study of dry matter of the studied grass mixtures. Recommendations on the cultivation of the mixtures of oat + vetch + radish, and oat + pisum arvense + radish for green forage mixtures and oat + vetch + radish, oat + pisum arvense and oats + pisum arvense + radish silage in the northwestern region of the Russian Federation.
