The balance of the organic matter of chernozem in south poorly degraded in crop rotations in north-eastern zone of the Rostov region

In the conditions of the north-eastern zone of the Rostov region, the balance of organic matter in the crop rotation was studied on the southern chernozems exposed to a weak degree of degradation. Crushed by-products, roots and surface residues were used as sources of soil replenishment with fresh organic matter in the system of soil conservation tillage. It was found that the average crop rotation with pure black steam balance of organic matter is negative (-1,11 centners per hectare). From the point of view of prevention of soil degradation, protection against erosion and deflation, planning of extended reproduction of soil fertility, it is necessary to use crop rotation with occupied sainfoin's steam, providing a positive balance (+2,5 centners per hectare).
