Substantiation of the air purification system of poultry premises with the use of ionization and dust removal device

The article deals with the problem of ionization and dedusting of ventilation air in rooms for keeping chickens. Based on the analysis, the authors identified the main aspects of the relevance of this problem: environmental protection; improving the safety of young chickens; protection of poultry complexes from aerogenic infections. The results of the study of the device for ionization and dedusting of air, which consists of a discharge lamp made in the form of a series of needles fixed on the frame perpendicular to its plane and radiating; the auxiliary electrode is grounded and made in the form of a blade, which is located in front of the needles of the corona electrode, and the shaft of its rotation is installed coaxially inside the frame. A reflector with a separating grid and a high-frequency generator with a resonator mounted on the frame are attached to the motor housing. The results of theoretical studies of dust extraction from the air by its ionization are presented. Results of tests of the developed system of ionization and dust removal in the room for keeping birds are shown. This system ensured the safety of young chickens in the tested group at the end of the first ionization cycle (35 days) by 1.3% more than in the control group; at the end of the second cycle (55 days) – by 3.6%; at the end of the third cycle (70 days) – by 14.3%; at the end of the fourth cycle (120 days) – by 27.5%; and at the end of the experiment (180 days) – by 21%, which averaged 13.7%.
