The characteristic of resistance entries of the durum wheat from nurseries KASIB to the stem rust in the conditions of Western Siberia

In the conditions of Western Siberia in experiences of durum wheat breeding laboratory of FGBNU "Omsk agrarian scientific center" in 2016 – 2017 was studied resistance of durum wheat entries of Kazakhstan- Siberian program to the stem rust Field experiments, phenological supervision, resistance responses to stem rust were carried out on experimental fields of institute. In laboratory conditions the assessment was carried out by benzimidazolny method in phase of seedling sprouts on resistance to stem rust (Omsk population). The assessment of breeding material on resistance to race of Ug99 was carried out on natural infectious background of Institute of phytopathology in Kenya (Africa). Years of study in Omsk were quite contrast on temperature condition and moisture security. It was established that the most part of the studied entries in field conditions were susceptible to stem rust of Siberian population, and race of Ug99 in Kenya with responses M, MS and S. The tendency is traced: resistance entries in stage of seedling are, as a rule, resistance in field conditions, resistance entries to Siberian race are not always resistance against to Ug99 therefore it is necessary to carry out assessment, both at stage of seedling, and in field conditions to local race and Ug99. As sources of resistance it is possible to recommend entries: Omskaj jantarnaj, Omski izumrud, Hordeiforme05-42-12 FGBNU «Omski ARC»; Hordeiforme 69-08-5 NPTsZH of A. I. Barayev and Hordeiforme 1591-21 (Sаmara Research Agricultural Institute).
