Effectiveness of the use of grasses in silage fodder galega and clover meadow

Selection and optimal ratio of individual groups and types of fodder crops on the drained lands of the Non-chernozem zone can reduce the costs of producing voluminous fodder, increase their quantity, achieve an energy nutritional level of at least 10.0 MJ OE per 1 kg of dry matter, while maintaining and increasing soil fertility. It is known that 60% of the total production of feed is taken up by voluminous fodder (hay, haylage, silage), which serve as the basis for winter rations for cattle. They account for 60-65 % of energy and protein, 80% of vitamins. Ensiling of high-protein labor-perennial perennial leguminous grasses - clover meadow and galega with the use of bacterial preparation "Biosib" and a mixture of grasses containing in sugar: timothy grass VIC 9 (Phleum pratense), rumpless bush Vegur (Brōmus inērmis), reed the reed canary grass Ural (Phalaris arundinacea). was studied. It was found that the condition for the effective action of the cereal grasses used in the preparation of a stable silage was the presence of a sufficient amount of easily hydrolyzable carbohydrates in the composition of the optimum raw material for moisture. The best results were obtained with canning of perennial leguminous grasses with the addition to them of light-extinguishing plants in a withered form.
