Definition of the guaranteed intensity of solar radiation for Rostov region

The parameters of the power supply system which is based on photovoltaic converters depend on an uncontrolled factor – the intensity of solar radiation. The intensity of solar radiation is random, so to find it should use mathematical statistics. The article analyzes international meteorological databases such as" METEONORM", NASA SSE and the scientific and applied reference book on the climate of the USSR. The research methodology of the article includes the theoretical justification of the choice of the distribution law and the guaranteed intensity of solar radiation. The result of the study are graphs of the theoretical distribution of the solar radiation intensity for five months, graphs of the guaranteed solar radiation intensity, the algorithm for calculating the guaranteed radiation.
