Prevention of maternal paresis in cows

Metabolic disorders are widespread in livestock and lead to a decrease in the detoxification function of the liver with the subsequent development of ketosis, acidosis, postpartum disease. Prophylaxis of maternity paresis in cows of Holstein breed at the age of five to six years was conducted with a pregnancy of five to six months. The use of drugs containing methionine, folic acid, cyanocobalamin and cholagogue helped to increase the hemocytological index to 2.3, which indicated the normalization of the processes of inhibition and excitation of the cerebral cortex. In animals the ancestral process proceeded without pathology. 100% of the viable calves were obtained.
