Quality and safety of carrots - the basis of its competitiveness in the market

The paper presents the results of studies of varieties of table carrots in the Perm kray and root crops sold in the retail network. According to the results of Federal statistics, the Perm kray ranks seventh among the subjects of the Privolzhskiy Federal district in terms of the area of growing table carrots, and third in terms of yield. Examination showed that 4 varieties of root crops (Nominator, Nayarit, Nantskaya 4, Karini) can be attributed to the highest commercial grade, other varieties of root crops can be attributed to the first and second. Carrots, both coming in retail from other regions and from abroad, and grown in the territory of the kray, safety meets the requirements of Sanitary and epidemiological rules and regulations 2.3.2.1078-01. This indicates the competitiveness of table carrots produced in the kray.
