Study of samples of alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) of foreign breeding for vegetative productivity in the forest-steppe of the Tyumen region

Objective: to study samples of alfalfa sowing foreign selection for vegetative productivity in the forest-steppe of the Tyumen region, and the expansion of genetic diversity involved in crossing forms. Experimental studies were carried out in the Northe Trans-Urals GAU, in the forest-steppe of the Tyumen region (2015-2018). The studies selected samples of alfalfa of foreign breeding СИС-П and СИС-Ф for use in practical breeding. The yield of green mass in the studied samples of blue alfalfa was lower than that of the standard. Vegetative productivity in the first mowing was 10.0 t / ha (average for the years of research). In the second mowing, the yield of green mass was on average 13.9 t / ha. The increase in the yield of green mass of all samples of alfalfa in favorable weather conditions in 2017 and 2018 was noted. The selected sources can be used in practical breeding to increase the vegetative productivity of alfalfa, to overcome the vulnerability of varieties to stress factors.
