Assessment of the level of sustainability in the development of the natural-territorial complex of the Purovsky District is due to the need to solve the problems of interaction between society and nature, thereby ensuring the preservation, restoration and development of this complex. The problem of interaction between nature and society has become particularly acute at the present stage, which is characterized by the transition from the industrial to the post-industrial phase of development - on a global scale and from a highly centralized to a market economy - in the post-Soviet states.
