Application of the refined method of calculation of power indicators of operation of the asynchronous motor

Most agricultural electric drives incorporate an asynchronous motor. When calculating and choosing an electric motor, it is necessary to take into account the conditions of its operation. The standard calculation methods used do not have high accuracy, they do not allow estimating the heating temperature of the stator windings of an asynchronous motor taking into account the ambient temperature. This problem can be solved using computer simulation, which requires the presence of an accurate mathematical model of the electric motor. The functional dependences of the efficiency and power factor on the load factor for an asynchronous motor are expressed nonlinear functions. An improved methodology has been proposed for calculating the energy performance of an asynchronous motor, which allows to determine the efficiency, power factor and power loss in an electric motor with different loads on the basis of its passport data. The article provides an example of the application of this technique for a 4A132M4 electric motor with a power of 11 kW. Calculations for 122 asynchronous motors of the 4A series of the basic design confirm the high accuracy close to 99% of the developed technique. This technique is simple, to facilitate the calculations it is recommended to use the program Microsoft Excel.
