Preliminary study of new variety-rooting plumbing combinations in the volgograd region

On the basis of the laboratory of fruit crops of the Lower Volga Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture - a branch of the Federal Scientific Center for Agroecology, Integrated Land Reclamation and Protective Afforestation of the Russian Academy of Sciences (NVNIISCH - a branch of the Federal Research Center for Agroecology of the Russian Academy of Sciences), varietal-rootstock combinations of plums of various types are studied for the first time breeding centers on new weak and medium-sized clonal stocks. Studies are conducted in the dry-steppe zone of chestnut soils of the Volgograd region, on the right bank of the river in the arid conditions of the Volgograd region. Volga, on light chestnut, saline, light soils, with a humus content of 1.8 - 2.0%. The average sum of positive temperatures for the growing season (April - October) is 2882 ° - 31500. The study of varietal-rootstock combinations of plums in the first field of the nursery showed the highest percentage of survival of oculants in the combinations Vengerka Korneevskaya / BS-3 (100%), Andreevskaya / Trio ( 100%), Hungarian Korneevskaya / Trio (86%), Stanley / BS-3 (83%), Stanley / BBA-1 (83%). In the second field, among the variety-rootstock combinations on dwarf rootstocks, the largest percentage of branched plum annuals for all varieties was noted on the BS-1 rootstock - 87-88%. On mid-rootstock rootstocks, the largest number of branched seedlings for almost all varieties was obtained on rootstocks: Black velvet - 83-87%, and Zarevo - 85-88%. After planting seedlings at a constant place in the garden, the most active growth of plants in height and the highest annual growth in all varieties were observed on the dwarf rootstocks BS-3, ALV and Trio. The most active growth was observed in the varieties Vengerka Korneevskaya and Stanley. Among mid-root stocks, active growth was noted in ABP, ATAP, Zarevo. The largest increase was noted in the combinations of Vengerka Korneevskaya / ATAP, Andreevskaya / blackbody, Stanley / Zarevo. Observations of seedlings in the experimental garden made it possible to single out the most promising varietal-rootstock combinations at the preliminary stage of the study: on weakly stocks - Vengerka Korneevskaya / BS-3, Andreevskaya / BS-3, Stanley / BS-3; on medium-sized ones - Vengerka Korneevskaya / ATAP, Andreevskaya / APT, Stanley / Zarevo.
