Possibile application of stable nitrogen and oxygen isotope ratio analysis for identification of nitrogen of organic and mineral fertilizers and confirmation of organic products origin

Increasing greening of agricultural production leads to tightening control over the parameters of growing products, including the type of nitrogen fertilizers used. An analytical methodology for solving this problem may include an analysis of the isotopic signatures of nitrogen, but also of oxygen of various agricultural products, which contain information to identify the type of nitrogen fertilizers applied to cultivated crops and confirm the organic origin of the product.
