Michaelis constant for biochemical indication of water quality in natural water bodies of the Moscow region

The paper presents the results of studying the relationship between the biochemical indicator, the Michaelis constant KM, of the acid phosphatase enzyme of the river snail (Viviparus viviparus L.) with the degree of pollution of the water bodies of the Moscow region, in which these river snail live. A strong inverse correlation of Km values is observed with the concentrations of toxic ions Cd2+, Cu2+, and the sum of ions of toxic metals Pb2+, Ni2+, Cr3+, which indicates the possibility of using this biochemical indicator as a bioindicator of environmental pollution of aquatic systems
