Yield, number of stems and photosynthetic activity of early-maturing potato varieties

The article shows the yield of early maturing potato varieties, Zhukovsky early, and the stand density, photosynthetic capacity and net photosynthetic productivity depending on the mass of planting tuber and regulations landing. The purpose of the research is to improve the methods of growing early – maturing potato varieties that provide a yield of at least 30 t/ha. The experiment was conducted on sod-podzolic light loamy medium-cultivated soil in a farm. The growing seasons were not uniform, and this affected potato yields in different ways. The planned yield was achieved in variants with small tubers with a planting rate of 71.4 thousand, medium - 40.8 thousand, large – 35.7 thousand tubers/ha. Limits of thickening of small tubers – 47.6 thousand, medium and large - 35.7 thousand tubers/ha. To achieve this goal, small tubers need to form 200 thousand stems/ha, medium and large planting tubers about 160 thousand stems
