The application of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for mapping the landscape of tropical vegetation in the Ngoc Linh nature reserve, Kon Tum, Vietnam

Landscape mapping and assessment is an important element for the rational use of land and forest resources, especially in tropical forest areas where there is a diversity of natural conditions and vegetation is strongly divided according to non-zonal laws such as Ngoc Linh Nature Reserve. The strong differentiation of the terrain morphology, combined with the impact of human, has created the landscape system in the selected area is quite diverse and rich, Accordingly, on the landscape of closed forest landscape tropical broadleaf and coniferous trees, the area is classified into 2 classes, 2 sub-classes, 3 styles, 7 types, 13 forms and 23 facies landscape areas. In particular, the landscape type is closed to evergreen broad-leaved, coniferous forest on the humus-rich gray soil, the aluminum area has the highest diversity with 7 types and 13 landscape forms, developed mainly according to natural laws; Landscape types of human vegetation are of low diversity, greatly influenced by farming and forest restoration activities of local people
