The survival rate of the entomophage Geocoris spp. in an artificial ecosystem

In the presented research paper describes the results of an original study of food adaptability of the entomophagy Geocoris. The habitats of the predator were established in the research area, and the timing of the animal's activity was revealed. Specialized cages for breeding insects have been created, а original feed diet was selected which consisted of cat food "whiskas", bananas, oat seedlings, larvae of fruit flies (Drosophila melanogaster), cereal aphid (Homoptera: Aphididae), caterpillars of various butterflies, sunflower seeds. The survival rate of the laboratory population of the entomophagy under certain artificial conditions has been established. The analysis of literature sources was carried out to compare the obtained results
