Results of studies on the process of obtaining extruded-molded products

The fodder base in animal husbandry is the fundamental link in the production of livestock products. In terms of costs, the share of feed, in the total cost of production, accounts for the most significant share. This is due to a number of reasons, among which the most important is the feeding of animals in the winter period. This issue is especially urgent for regions remote from the main factories of concentrated feed manufacturers. The solution to the problem in this case must be solved locally using local feed. The expansion of feed production is largely due to the problems of their transportation and rational storage, and the way out of this situation is the use of pressed feed. The process of pressing feed into granules or briquettes is carried out depending on the purpose and particle size distribution of feed and feed mixtures. In this case, a prerequisite should be the fulfillment of the quality requirements for this type of feed. Granules should have a density of up to 1200 ... 1300 kg / m3, formed into cylindrical or shaped pieces with an overall size of up to 25 mm. Briquettes should have a density of 550 ... 950 kg / m3, formed into a cylindrical or other shape with dimensions of 60 ... 75 mm, according to the requirements of GOST 23513–79 (density of briquettes). The currently available equipment produced by the manufacturer can produce compressed feed that meets the above requirements, but it is intended for large production volumes. In the Amur region, a large volume of livestock production falls on small peasant farms for which this equipment will not be profitable due to its downtime. Therefore, it is necessary for peasant farms to find other ways to obtain compressed feed. The article presents the results of experimental studies on the production of compressed feed in a farm
