Guladi Djemalovich Gogmachadze was born in Gvara, the Kobuleti Region of Georgia on June, 16th, 1962. In 1987 graduated from the Georgian Agriculture University with qualification of Agroengineer. In 1991 got Ph.D. and in 1997 - D.Sc. in General Agronomy.

In 2005 he was qualified as Professor in Agriculture.

In 1993 graduated from the Russian-American International Educational Center "Intercollege" as a manager-broker.

In 1987-1992 worked in the Kobuleti Regional Agroindustrial Enterprise occupying various positions: agronomist, principal agronomist, head specialist of the Kobuleti Region. In addition gave lectures in the Biological faculty of the Batumi State University.

In 1993-1999 worked on head positions in business organizations.

December, 1999 - Deputy Director on Science, FGUP "VNII AgroEcoInform".

Starting 2000 - Director, The Federal State Unitary Enterprise "The All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute for Informatization of Agronomy and Ecology" (FGUP ).

Since 2002 has worked as Director General of the FGUP "VNII AgroEcoInform".

The member of the Section of the Innovation Ensuring and Agriculture Consulting of the Scientific-Technical Council, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. Invited as an expert of the State Duma (Parliament) of the Russian Federation for the problems of the food security of Russia.

Since 2004, in addition, has given lectures at the faculty of the Soil Science of the Moscow State University named after Lomonosov.

He is the Head Editor of the on-line research-and-production journal "AgroEcoInfo".

The Chairman of the Qualification Council for Candidate’s and Doctor’s degrees on speciality “Ecology (Biology)” (biological sciences).

Since 2001 - the Academician of the International Academy of Informatization.

In 2007 among outstanding scientists and heads has entered into the Encyclopedia «Outstanding figures of Russia».

Awarded by Honorary Charter of Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

For merits in agroindustrial complex, active public work and long-term fruitful work rank «HONOURABLE WORKER OF AGRICULTURE OF RUSSIA» has been awarded.

At V All-Russia conference «Problems and prospects of development of higher education and a science in the Russian Federation», passing in June, 2011 in St.-Petersburg with the assistance of Committee of the Federation Council on science and education, Committees of the State Duma on a science and high technologies, formation and under the chairmanship of Nobel prize winner Alfyorov Z.I., FGUP “VNII AgroEcoInform” has been awarded by the Gold medal «100 BEST HIGH SCHOOLS And scientific research institute of Russia», and professor Gogmachadze G. D. - the medal «the SCIENTIST of YEAR – 2011» has been handed over him.

At the Oxford summit of leaders (Oxford, Great Britain) in December, 2011 for the big contribution to development of a world science Gogmachadze G.D is awarded by the International Sokrates award in the field of scientific researches «The Name in Sience» and brought in the world register of outstanding scientists of 21 centuries.

On March, 21st, 2012 at Royal institute of directors in London on "Socrates Award Ceremony" Guladi Djemalovich has received the international awards awarded by the international Sokrates committee of the European business assembly: institute FGUP “VNII AgroEcoInform” has received the international award "Best Enterprises" - for dynamics of growth of the company in the branch, and director general of institute G.D.Gogmachadze - a rank "Manager of the year".

On April, 12th, 2013 at Royal institute of directors in London solemn reception on which director-general of FGUP “VNII AgroEcoInform” G.D.Gogmachadze has been selected by the international Sokrates committee of the European business assembly in European Club of rectors has taken place.

It is included in the Big Georgian Encyclopedia published by National academy of sciences of Georgia (a series "Doctor of sciences of Georgia", p. 270).

Author more than 160 proceedings, 7 monographies and 2 educational-methodical grants: “Corn Cultivation in Adzharia”, “Agroecological monitoring of soils and land resources of Russian Federation”, publishing house of the Moscow university, 597 p., “Soil degradation: causes, effects, ways of decrease and elimination”, publishing house of the Moscow university, 270 p. (the last 2 are admitted by M.V.Lomonosov Moscow State University as manuals for students trained on speciality “Soil science”), “Estimation of Soils’ Fertility”, “Ecology of vegetative resources of Ryazan Region”, “Arable Soils of the Nizhny Novgorod Region”, “P.A.Kostychev - founder of soil science and the outstanding agrochemist (1845-1895)” and “P.A.Kostychev - founder of scientific bases of agronomics (1845-1895)”.

Many of Gogmachadze’s research works are published in the foreign scientific editions, and monograph “Cultivation of corn in Adzharia” is in the National Agriculture library of the USA.
